Aunjanue The. Ellis Taylor, American actor and producer. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in acting from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is an actor, producer and American actor active in the theatre as well as television and film. She started acting on stage and went onto appear in independent, mainstream and TV series. The actress was famous for her role in the role of Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as in BET's epic The Book of Negroes. The series both received praise from critics, and she also took home a variety of accolades. She started her career as an actor in the year 1995 when she played Ariel in The Tempest. The credits on stage comprise Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production directed by Joe Turner. She is most well-known for her role in the series Men of Honor, The Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help.
